It’s important to know the only parts of Medicare you will be auto-enrolled into, if that is your situation, is Original Medicare. That includes Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B. So, if you need long-term care, dental, vision, hearing, and some other important things, you’ll have to enroll yourself into the proper forms of Medicare. Here’s what you can do:

• Determine if you need additional coverage beyond Parts A and B
• Apply for Original Medicare at your Social Security office or their website
• Begin shopping for your additional coverages
